Hillarys, the UK's largest supplier of made to measure blinds has launched a more competitively priced range of wood venetians, which is currently available only within London.
Called Essentials, the capsule collection features a choice of six contemporary colours in 35mm or 50mm slat widths.
"From supermarkets to haute couture, value and diffusion ranges are proving a popular way to expand the brand and broaden its appeal to a wider audience," says Sarah Quilliam, head of product design at Hillarys.
"Wood Venetians are one of the most popular types of blinds available today and to maintain our number one standing in the blinds market it is important we have products at varying price levels."

"White wood Venetians are particularly popular in London," adds Sarah. "This is in line with current trends for pared down Gustavian style, a blend of Swedish and French 18th Century style. In Sweden, a country known for its cold, bleak winters, "wood was considered life" and this style works brilliantly in all types of interiors. And as Sweden is shrouded in darkness for most of the year, it's no wonder that rooms inspired by this period are warm and inviting and full of light hand painted furniture, pale walls and comforting curvy shapes."
