Traditional fabrics are making a comeback
Traditional floral style fabrics are set to make a big comeback predicts Sarah Quilliam, head of product design at Hillarys, the UK's largest supplier of made to measure blinds and shutters.
"This is a nostalgic look reminiscent of the 1950's that brings a comforting softness to interiors and harks back to an era of hope and new beginnings, where the focus was very much on the home, family and simple pleasures in life.
"Vintage style décor is quite easy to achieve, take a mix n'match, make do and mend approach, just like your Granny would have done, to create a relaxing retreat with a modern quirky accent."
Blinds featured are: (left) Sweet Roses layered over Dottie Pink and (right) Promise Pink from Hillarys Romans collection. Prices start at £64 (69 euros) (60cm w x 75cm d) measured, made and fitted.
