Roller blinds
Whats new in our Rollers collection
Rollers
Hillarys brand new Roller Blind collection features a host of new fabrics including a leather-look design and a stylish woven paper effect, an eclectic black and white floral print, fresh raspberry stripes and a greater choice of ever-popular plains and naturals.
New features within the range also include a contemporary eyelet-bottomed roller, beautiful beading and braiding on straight-bottomed blinds. The collection comprises a total of 187 fabrics with 30 of these available with special blackout or flame retardant functions.
Roller blinds are a perfect, lightweight alternative to curtains, a modern option to that great British institution - the net curtain and are ideal when space is at a premium. Stylish and functional, they are also extremely versatile and don't just have to be confined to windows. With a little thought they can also be used as a practical solution around the home such as a cover-up for messy shelves or a room divider in children's bedroom.
It's black and white
As sure as night follows day, black always returns to the top spot! Try mixing monochrome with glass and chrome for this contemporary look from Hillarys new Rollers collection. And why not follow the trend for stencilling and add to the drama by replicating the floral design of the blind onto the wall.
Swing out sister
Curl up and enjoy a relaxing moment or two in this delightful wicker cradle chair in a gorgeous garden room setting. Simple roller blinds in a woven paper/grass effect fabric and a natural coir carpet add to the harmonious feel.
Shower moments!
It has been said that many of us come up with some of our best
ideas when we're in the shower! Help boost your creative flow by
adding striking accessories in mood enhancing orange - a colour
renowned to stimulate the imagination.
Sitting pretty
Make the most of a wide ledge and create a comfy window seat to enjoy a pretty garden view. A simple roller blind in a sunny yellow complements the country cottage feel but can be rolled up neatly out of the way to let the light stream in.
Boudoir chic
A delicately patterned roller blind in refreshing aqua with glass effect
beading adds a touch of luxury and romance to a light and airybedroom.
Ship shape
Bathing is always an indulgent pastime so why not make your bathroom a haven of tranquillity with a stunning combination of fresh white and dark wood. A neat looking roller blind with a wavy-shaped bottom gives a nod to the nautical without going overboard! Or alternatively you can sail away to your own private world by covering just the bottom half of the window with a roller blind for privacy and leaving the top-half of this pretty Georgian window un-obscured.
Moving up
Family growing up? Need more space? Rather than going to the
expense of moving, many of us are making the most of our current
homes by converting a loft or roof space. Tucked away at the top of
the house, this can make the perfect bedroom / hideaway for your teenager to work, rest and play (station!).
Most of the fabrics in Hillarys Rollers collection can be used in the
Hillarys Skylight System designed especially to fit skylight windows.
Many are also available with a blackout function - very useful for
small children or nightworkers but perhaps not such a good idea in a
teenager's bedroom where getting them out of bed is more of a challenge!
Retro cool
Bold patterns are very much in fashion right now and it's an easy look to create in your sitting room simply by wallpapering a feature wall, adding a striking blind and colourful cushions. A colour combination of lilac and chocolate will also add to the retro theme.
Starry starry nights
Bold colours, toys, books and fluffy animals are key essentials in a child's bedroom but come bed time it's nice to clear the clutter
and make sure they have a good night's sleep ready for another hard day's play. A blackout roller blind like this is specifically designed to reduce the light coming into the room - perfect during the lighter summer months or if you have bright streetlights outside your child's
bedroom window.
It's a cover up!
A roller blind also makes a great cover-up for messy shelves. Simply pull it down and hey presto, a neat and tidy room!
Getting back to nature
Natural materials like wood and linen, fresh greens plus a carpet in a soft stone colour help create a calm and soothing garden room that provides the perfect link between indoors and out. Sleek roller blinds pulled down to a uniform level add to the feeling of tranquillity and can be neatly rolled out of the way when you want to enjoy the view.
Timeless sophistication
Leather and dark wood work well together to create this informal 1930's feel study, especially when teamed with shades of taupe and cream and stylish objects.
Fade to grey
Fashion's love affair with all shades of grey is reflected in trends for interiors. Accessorise with flashes of bright lime or lemon to lift the mood, add lovely soft textures and finish with a contemporary
eyelet-bottomed roller blind for a really striking look.
shapely bottoms
Why not take a leaf out of J Lo's book and make the most of a shapely bottom! Hillarys has 7 different types to choose from ranging from a contemporary eyelet to wavy, scalloped and turreted.
