Roman Blinds
Whats new in our Romans collection
Romans
Bold and contrasting colours, vibrant patterns, nostalgic polka dots and roses, earthy grains, loads more neutrals and up to the minute tactile textures makes Hillarys new Romans fabric collection an inspirational source of ideas for any window.
Hillarys has grouped the 127 fabrics within the range into seven different collections ranging from the vintage feel of So English to the coffee, cream and champagne tones of Café Society, sizzling reds and matt blacks in Burning Embers, gorgeous greens in Rainforest, aqua blues in Atlantic, the earthy grains and textures of Safari and the hot and spicy hues in Excite the Senses.
"We've really taken our inspiration from world travel," says Sarah Quilliam, head of product design at Hillarys. "People love bringing a bit of their holiday experience back to their home. Our new Romans collection seeks to evoke the feel of some of our favourite places through colour, pattern and texture."
Hillarys has a Roman blind to suit any window and pocket, starting with Shades - our unlined Romans, offering a stylish solution at a real value for money price, moving onto lined Romans and finally Cascades, the most luxurious member of the family with its soft waterfall folds of fabric. We also offer a blackout function - perfect for children's rooms.
Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside!
Love the sea but live miles from the coast? Then why not give some beach hut chic to a garden room or conservatory? It's easy to create with fresh nautical striped Roman blinds, wicker furniture and a
scattering of sea-faring knick-knacks. The only thing missing is sand in your sandwiches and having to dive for cover every time there's a summer shower!
Sugar and spice and all things nice
And doesn't this lovely bedroom reflect that? By mixing soft pastels and candy colours with pretty bunting and bedlinen, you can create a bedroom fit for a pair of princesses. Twins or sisters close in age love to share but by giving them their separate storage and accessories there'll be no falling out over what belongs to whom!
Flower power
Forget girl power, florals are where it's at. Patterned fabrics are an ever-growing trend in interiors, and with colours veering heavily towards reds this season, what better way to update your lounge than with a bold mixture of both?
Work it
Having a study or home office is becoming increasingly popular as more of us choose to work from home, so making it into a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the house is an
absolute must. Combine bright red tones with chunky dark wood and rich leather for a really professional look that will work just as hard as
you do!
The devil's in the detail
If you love pattern but are a bit wary of using too much in yourbedroom, then dip your toe in the water with Hillarys range of
neutral and jacquard fabrics. Up close, you'll see the pattern more distinctly, but from afar, it still looks very subtle. And by adding delicate beaded braid to the bottom of the blind, you can personalise the look. Combine natural colours and simple designs with silky quilts and subtle lighting to create a wonderfully calming atmosphere.
Cherubs delight
White and cream are very popular choices for the bedroom due to their soothing properties, but dare we say it, can be a tad boring. Add both colour and romance with a toile de jouy roman blind. Team with French styled furniture and a traditional brass bed frame for a timeless spot of elegance.
Make an entrance
You'll want your hall to make a great first impression to any visiting guests, so why not jazz it up with Venetian mirrors instead of the usual paintings for a different twist. A console table underneath
the window is ideal for displaying knick knacks as well as a handy place for your phone and keys. A roman blind with vertical stripes can
help give an illusion of extra height in your hall and encourages the eye to follow the simple lines upstairs.
Pretty in pink
Vintage style remains a popular trend in interiors, conjuring up halcyon days of afternoon tea when your cuppa was always served in a china cup and the aroma of freshly baked cakes wafted through the house. We can't be of great assistance when it comes to baking the perfect Victoria sponge but we can certainly help you create the look with nostalgic polka dot and vintage floral fabrics.
Take a walk on the wild side
A monochrome colour scheme is contemporary and sleek but can also be a touch cold and soulless. Give it a shot of warmth with this touchy-feely faux fur Roman blind from Hillarys latest collection.
Heart of the home
The kitchen generally tends to be the hub of the house and the place where everyone congregates, especially if it's as cosy and welcoming as this one. Warm, earthy tones are mixed with distressed wooden furniture and a pretty Roman blind to give a lovely country kitchen feel. You can almost smell that bread baking in the Aga!
Café society
If a picture paints a thousand words, this blind would be shouting 'breakfast room!' Simple coffee coloured walls blend perfectly with a café style table to make a perfect retreat for elevenses.
Light fantastic
For a bathroom that dazzles mix a bright white suite with contemporary chrome accessories and add splashes of zesty lime and energizing aqua. Crystal droplets attached to the bottom of the blind will glisten in the sunlight to enhance the sparkling effect.
