Accessorise a white bathroom with blinds

Adding accessories and textiles to a plain white bathroom can transform it from being bland to chic, Ideal Home Magazine has said.

Describing a white bathroom as a "blank canvas", the home and lifestyle publication said that with just a few relatively cheap additions, it can be made to look "chic and timeless".

Monochrome accessories go well in a predominantly white setting, while accessories with spotty motifs add "a touch of fun", and this can be accompanied by plantation shutters for added style.

For a more relaxed feel, akin to a spa, accessorising with wooden features creates more warmth, and many retailers offer wooden towel rails, soap holders and other fixtures.

To complete the look, wooden venetian blinds match perfectly with this kind of scheme in a bathroom.

Property expert Sarah Beeny said in an article for Athomemagazine.com that having exposed brickwork in a bathroom can create an organic feel.
