Blinds perfect for sun room
A sun room is the first port of call for many homeowners on a glorious summer’s day and blinds can improve the look and feel of the space.
Bev and Craig St Charles told the Daily Herald that their sun room was the ideal space to get away from it all, even if their busy lifestyle prevents them from using it as frequently as they would like.
"We don’t spend as much time out there as I wish we did," said Mrs St Charles."But it’s lovely to go out and sit and read. I use it more than anything to entertain my girlfriends since we can see the outside better there than in the more closed-in kitchen."
On particularly hot days it is advantageous to have blinds as they can help keep the heat out, and yet during cooler evenings they are effective at trapping heat in.
Design expert Linda Barker said yellow and cream tones are the optimal colours for rooms that receive a lot of sunlight.
