Blinds users alerted to current kitchen trends

When painting parts of their kitchens such as cabinets, people are making use of soft colours, one interior design expert has suggested, which may interest those aiming to complement window blinds.

Speaking in an article published by the Poughkeepsie Journal, kitchen and bath designer Kate Talbott commented that white is another colour that seems to be attractive to homeowners.

Discussing some of the other kitchen improvements that property owners are looking to make, Ms Talbott told the news provider: “Granite countertops are still super popular and we’re doing more unusual granites.

“Granite doesn’t have to look like what most people think of.”

Ms Talbott, who works for Millbrook Cabinetry and Design, added that a number of people also seem to be adopting soft floors in their kitchens.

When it comes to property enhancements, the National Home Improvement Council’s director Andrew Leech has suggested that it is more important that people spend money on DIY instead of summer holidays.
