Fit roller blinds in a blue kitchen

Blue is an underused colour in kitchens which should be explored by more homeowners, according to Home-Designing.com.

Many people steer clear of blue as they consider it to be more suited to rooms that are intended for relaxation as it is "regarded as a calm and restful colour", but the website suggests that it’s just as well suited to kitchens, with patterned roller blinds adding an elegant finishing touch.

"Some people view it as a mood booster as this Mediterranean colour can sometimes remind one of the summer and sea," the website advises.

The fact that it matches with chrome and white, the most common colour for kitchen appliances, also makes it a good choice.

According to recent HomeInteriorDecorating.com article, brightly coloured blinds can help to liven up a kitchen which is past its best. The website also advised that old roller blinds can be renewed with a little bit of personalisation involving paint and stencils.
