Get the paddling pool out to clean blinds

Cleaning blinds can be hard work, however, one commentator has come up with a way to inject some fun into the chore.

Writing for the Pasadena Star News, Mary Hunt suggested cleaning blinds in an outdoor paddling pool during the warmer months, stating that this will ensure they get a thorough wash and also give people a chance to do some housework in the sun.

She also suggested that children may be keen to help if it means they get to splash about outside for a bit.

“I bought a 42-inch wading pool. I put it on my patio table, filled it with suds and water, and washed all of my window blinds in it. I didn’t have to bend, stoop or make a mess in the house,” she added.

Channel Four Homes suggests that the best way to clean roller blinds is to unroll them and wipe them with a damp cloth.
