Individualise a kitchen with roller blinds

There is a growing trend for personalising kitchens as people seek to put their "own touch" on their cooking area, according to Britannia Living.

Robert Cassidy, brand manager at the firm, said coloured cookers have increased in popularity with homeowners wanting to make more of a statement with their design themes, which may also include bright-coloured roller blinds to match.

"People are getting colour-savvy about the way they want things to look, but also about the functionality behind it as well," Mr Cassidy revealed.

He said people were now thinking a lot harder about purchases before committing as they realised a well-designed interior space could last several years.

"They will see stands and really research the product before making a purchase, whereas three or four years ago when everything was quite buoyant, maybe people made that decision a lot quicker," he added.

According to UKhomeideas.co.uk, the trend this summer is to fit roller blinds featuring patterns inspired by nature.
