Retractable awnings ‘make sense to many homeowners’

People looking to ensure their homes remain cool in the summer months should consider investing in retractable awnings, according to experts.

James and Morris Carey of the Associated Press have outlined in an article for Post-Gazette.com that awnings designed using either aluminium or canvas are a top way for homeowners to reduce the impact of direct sunlight in homes.

They added that retractable systems can be particularly useful in comparison to traditional products, as they can easily be raised when not needed in the winter months.

Such benefits mean that investing in the products often “makes sense” to many people, the experts concluded.
