Roman blinds ‘a happy medium’
Property owners can gain access to a number of benefits by adding Roman blinds to their homes, according to one writer.
In an article for the Western Mail, Matt Thomas has stated that the items are beneficial as they are "a happy medium" between curtains and the neat finish that general blinds can offer.
He added that homeowners can enjoy the best level of insulation by hanging blinds against the glass of their windows, before explaining some other potential benefits.
"Roman blinds lie flat when lowered, but have horizontal slats sewn at regular intervals in the back of the fabric that create soft folds of material when they are drawn up," he explained in the column.
"As they can be made from almost any furnishing material, the choice of colour and pattern is immense."
In a recent article for the Toledo Blade, Candice Olson of Home and Garden Television suggested that fabric blinds are always useful in bathrooms.
