Venetian blinds in an orange kitchen? It works!

For a fun and vibrant kitchen, orange may be the best colour scheme, and it matches surprisingly well with a host of other colours.

Although bold colours often divide opinion, Home-Designing.com said that an orange kitchen couldn’t fail to provoke a reaction from people.

"Orange radiates fun, flamboyance and energy," the website said, and it can also match with white, black or, of course, orange blinds.

Venetian blinds work particularly well in a kitchen and can be found in a variety of colours to either match or contrast with the liveliness of orange.

Other fittings and appliances in the kitchen can be in more understated colours to create balance, while wooden, tiled or lino flooring can be found to match it.

Small kitchens can be made to feel larger by installing venetian blinds and clearing away scarcely-used gadgets, according to UKTV.co.uk.

Bright colours can also add to the sense of space, and dark colours should be avoided as they have the opposite effect.
