Wallpaper trends for rooms with blinds

Wallpaper remains popular among homeowners and can add another dimension to a room’s design.

Increasingly, people are using both wallpaper and paint to spruce up their interiors and well-chosen patterns can accentuate blinds.

Jan Williams, assistant at Wallpaperdirect, said metallic wallpaper is the key trend this year while "flock has made a huge comeback in the last 18 months".

She insisted "wallpaper is still very much in fashion" and said producers were offering customers a wider choice than ever before.

Lime, lilac and purple tones are all popular choices for the summer months, Ms Williams added.

Roller blinds in similar colour schemes can be found to match, while those opting for the metallic look will find a variety of blinds to complement that style.

According to HousetoHome.co.uk, special effect wallpapers that mimic the look of a different material can help boost the vibrancy of a room and highlight features such as Venetian blinds.
