Wood interiors need wood blinds

The attractiveness and versatility of wood makes it an ideal material for use in interior design, an expert has advised.

Carolyn Park, who set up her own interior design company in Leeds, noted the popularity of the material and explained why so many people opted to use it in their homes.

"It enables you to do anything, in any shape or form, and it’s a natural product so ecology wise we would much rather use wood than plastic. That’s the main benefit," she commented.

Wood venetian blinds make for the ideal accompaniment in a wood-themed design, adding further elegance and a timeless aesthetic appeal.

Ms Park said everyday oak and walnut products can create just as good a look as more expensive wenge and macassar materials.

Interior designer Debbie Travis suggested to the Post and Courier that homeowners should consider fitting wood blinds in their bathrooms.
