What a week it's been for Great Britain with the medal tally growing daily, along with everyone's feelings of national pride.

If you've been bitten by the patriotic bug, you may well be looking for ways to show the world how pleased you are.

You've got the t-shirt, painted your face and nails and you've even treated your car to Union Jack wing mirror covers! But are there any more subtle ways of displaying your countries colours that will stand the test of time too?

Well, of course there are and what better place to start than at home.

If your children have been inspired by Team GB, they may well appreciate sleeping under a Team GB duvet cover. But for the rest of the home, you don't have to be quite so obvious.

There are loads of lovely accessories out there to give your home a uniquely British feel. How about a Union flag fridge? We've seen plenty of other kitchen essentials bearing the national colours, including a very stylish bin and several DAB digital radio designs.

If you're feeling very bold, invest in a Union flag sofa. But if you'd prefer something not quite so in your face, there are footstools out there, plus lovely cushions, vases, even a telephone.

For your windows, go for a twist and consider subtle stripes, in red, white and blue. We've roller and roman blind fabrics, including a blackout option, that all look great.

Stripes are a classic design, perfect for any room of the home, and they always look clean and fresh.

When using stripes in your room, it's always a good idea to keep everything else plain, especially when it comes to key items. So if you're choosing striped blinds or curtains, it's probably a good idea to go for plain furniture, flooring and walls. This simple approach will ensure nothing clashes.

So, continue watching our team do so well for the rest of the week. And then take some time to show your pride through your home!
