What does a local advisor do?

As a local advisor you’ll be the face of Hillarys, helping customers near where you live transform their homes with made-to-measure blinds and curtains. You'll work flexible hours to suit you.

Using knowledge gained during training and support sessions, you’ll offer expert advice and guidance then measure up before returning to fit the customer's products.

We’ll support you by organising your appointments for you, but to maximise your earning potential, you’ll learn to generate your own business too.

What skills and experience do I need?

You don’t need any previous knowledge or experience - there is a comprehensive training package included which will teach you everything you need to succeed. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and great communication skills.

You'll build a portfolio and learn how to use our bespoke software that will help you manage your diary and sales. You’ll benefit from the support of an experienced area manager too. 

Every advisor is invited back for on-going training so you stay in the know of product launches and new technology. You’ll also benefit from an online community website and eLearning platform.

How much can I earn?

Our most successful local advisors make up to £50,000 a year through customer appointments, depending on whether they work full or part time.

For an initial investment of £2,500, you will receive everything you need to start your business. This includes training, tools and ongoing support from our national head office, and a dedicated area manager.

 Your investment includes, but is not limited to:

  • Brand new smart  tablet with Hillarys applications to support in-home orders
  • Fabric sample books and sample products
  • Marketing materials for your business
  • Tool box with an extensive range of equipment required when fitting products
  • Optional lease scheme for a Hillarys branded vehicle

This is a sales only role, helping customers find shutters, conservatory blinds or awnings for their home. Our installers will then fit the product.
