An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Design Engineering Manager to join our Technical team in Colwick.

The Technical Department is responsible for Design, Product Testing, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance & H&S issues across the business.

The key focus of this role is to assist in the development of new products and product testing methods and procedures, in order to improve product design, quality, performance and reliability.

Responsible for managing the product testing process to investigate the suitability of materials processes and finished blinds in order to ensure products comply with Hillarys Specifications.

Ensure regular testing of all Child safety related products/components ensuring we remain compliant with the requirements of EN13120.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required in order to liaise closely with our internal customers and external suppliers to improve and develop the Hillarys product range.

About you

The successful and ideal candidate:

  • People Management experience
  • University degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Auto CAD and other relevant Project Management software packages.
  • SAP experience desirable but not essential

The following engineering degree subjects are particularly relevant:

  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Production Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
