With the official start of spring almost upon us, the changing of the season is a time for new beginnings. This might be a fresh look or project. And if the latter is a decorating project, now is a great opportunity to channel the beautiful transformations taking place outside.

If you’re planning some home improvements for the coming months, then the Ideal Home Show is a brilliant place to pick up ideas. The exhibition opens on Friday 20 March at Olympia London, and runs until Monday 6 April.

Naturally, we’ll be there with lots of lovely ideas for your rooms. As well as showing off our latest products and offering exclusive savings, we’ll also be revealing a few key fashions. But if you simply can’t wait until then, here’s a sneak preview…

#NewSpringStyle Make it fresh

As the name suggests, this style is the perfect choice to freshen up your décor. Take inspiration from the natural world, with breath-taking botanicals and fabulous florals. When it comes to colour, lush greens and sky blues bring the outdoors in.

In our dining room, the dainty flowers on these Aquarelle Mineral curtains mirror our garden bursting into bloom. Artistic watercolour prints and delicate painterly patterns are ones to watch this year.

Our second theme is ideal for those who want their window to take centre stage. Vibrant colours aren’t for shrinking violets, but being brave really does pay off. Make a statement with vivid hues and eye-catching detailing.

Over in our kitchen, this Bohemia Tango design from our new Roman blinds range certainly brightens things up. The rich orange colour-way creates a focal point and provides a gorgeous contrast to our crisp white walls.

Here, this Finch Rustic Grey Roller blind from our New World collection adds a talking point to our bathroom. Lace is another motif to keep your eyes peeled for - it’s been a hit on the catwalks and works well in interiors too.

Of course, nothing compares to seeing these trends in person, so we’d recommend a trip to the show to view them up close. For more details - and to receive 10% off the price of entry tickets - visit www.hillarys.co.uk/ideal-home-show/.
