Make it rich with Ruby

‘Jewel: The Edit’ has landed. The sumptuous range brings together a stunning selection of Roman blinds and curtains, with four colour palettes to choose from: Sapphire, Amber, Jade and Ruby. Here, we take a closer look at the rich hue of Ruby.

Ruby is an intense, passionate shade which adds warmth wherever it is used. This makes it a fantastic addition to a living room – think the colour equivalent of a roaring fire in the winter. And it works well with neutrals too.

To keep it contemporary, pick stylish prints for soft furnishings. Our Bohemia Berry fabric has a retro feel, while the geometric texture of our Element Vermillion fabric really catches the light, adding another dimension to your windows.

If your space is lacking depth, then a pop of Ruby could be the perfect solution. Here, our Ruby inspired room is traditional yet opulent, with a red feature wall that both commands attention and visually warms up the space. The layers of our Tetbury Red Roman blind and Bohemia Berry red curtains are a luxurious touch.

An emphasis on vibrancy defines Ruby. It adds interest to neutrals, and brightens up darker shades. If you’re a little worried about adding such a bold shade to a whole wall though, try smaller accessories instead. These contemporary berry branches are a polished addition.

As Ruby is a traditional shade, playful touches are perfect for stopping the look from feeling too uptight. Here, we’ve mixed our feature wall and curtains with a kitsch bird lamp for a whimsical twist.

Beige and cream look fantastic with the shade, but adding a pop of another rich shade will elevate the trend. Here, we’ve combined our Element Vermillion and Tetbury Red cushions with Erika Indigo, a beautiful royal blue fabric. It’s striking and sophisticated, and draws upon harmonious colour theory.
