Daisy's signature style

Design a classically cool boudoir like Daisy Lowe. In this article we talk you through the key design elements to help you create your own take on Daisy’s signature style.

Boudoir basics

Nothing says boudoir quite like a classical Toile de Jouy design. This instantly recognisable French print has been popular since the 18th century, and the idyllic pastoral scenes portrayed on the fabric perfectly convey a feeling of relaxed elegance. Daisy teamed her Toile French Blue curtains with a Downtown Blue ticking stripe Roman blind, striking the perfect balance between Parisian chic and sophisticated rural charm.

Rococo revival

Ornate French rococo furniture is making a comeback in contemporary interiors, and if there’s one room that’s perfectly suited to this opulent style, it has to be the bedroom. Daisy has picked up an original 18th century chest of drawers to bring a luxe edge to her design. But if your budget won’t stretch to an 18th century original, it’s a look that’s easy to fake with a tin of metallic paint and some vintage drawer pulls.

Tantalising textures

Daisy has artfully combined colour, pattern and texture to create a cosy and inviting space that oozes with understated elegance. The bed alone is groaning under the weight of lush and luxurious fabrics, from the refined quilted throw to the pure white sheepskin that simply cries out to be lounged upon. And of course, no self-respecting sanctuary would be without a mountain of plush cushions, covered in a range of stripes, florals and plains from our collection. A stand-out cushion featuring a well-manicured classical landscape continues the historical theme.

Classic colours

You only need to look up at the sky on a hot summer’s day to understand why a palette of blue and white go together so well, especially when it comes to creating a feeling of serenity and calm. Daisy has chosen sky blue, ivory and classic French navy for her bedroom scheme, with metallic touches bringing a warm, luxe feel to the cool tones. The mix of pattern and texture creates interest, drawing the eye to the key features in the room, and a floral display of peach and cream roses captures the mood of a romantic bygone age.

Daisy Lowe designs a restful retreat

Fashion model and Strictly Come Dancing contestant, Daisy Lowe has just moved into a new home and has set about creating a grown-up space that’s calm and relaxing – the perfect antidote to her busy lifestyle.

Having a talented interior designer for a mum has certainly helped Daisy develop an eye for great design. Daisy shares mum Pearl’s love of all things vintage, but also brings her own fresh, confident style to rival that of her famous mum.

Daisy goes to town
The master bedroom in Daisy’s Georgian townhouse benefits from stunning floor to ceiling sash windows, creating a striking focal point within the room. Daisy’s love of vintage style instantly drew her to the Toile French Blue curtains. Daisy wanted to create a cossetting, cosy space so layered her curtains over contrasting Downtown Blue striped Roman blinds – a classic combination that’s perfectly suited to the period features in Daisy’s new home.

Daisy’s tips for a perfect night’s sleep
You don’t have to be a top fashion model to understand the importance of getting a good night’s sleep, and so blackout linings were top of Daisy’s wish list. By layering curtains over a Roman blind and choosing blackout linings for each, Daisy has created the perfect environment for a great night’s rest.

Made-to-measure style
Daisy is not alone in having lots of style ideas but no time to put them into action, and that’s why our expert in-home service is so valuable. Once Daisy had made her fabric choices, our expert advisor measured her windows and returned to professionally fit her made-to-measure curtains and blinds. The finish, as we’re sure you’ll agree, is simply gorgeous.
