Get the coastal look
We all know that being by the sea is good for the soul. But even if you’re not lucky enough to hear the splash of the waves from your home, with a few top tips you can create that same feeling of wellbeing in your space.
Edge it up
The warmth of wood
There’s no better partner to the coastal scheme than wood, from washed-up driftwood to smooth panelling. The textural contrast of relaxed bedding, a squidgy headboard and painted tongue-and-groove in this serene bedroom is a beautiful example of how texture really counts with this trend. Combine with a Wooden blind, or try a subtle coastal-themed pattern, like we have here with this Boats Navy Roller blind from our new collection.
Fun and fresh
A fun, nautical print can lift any room. This bathroom features crisp white walls, but the splashes of colour keep it interesting. The Little Fish Marine Blue Roman blind has a potato-print style design which is simple and will look just as at home in a children’s bedroom as it will in a bathroom. The glassy blue toothbrush holder, a pop of ochre on the towels and a flourish of ferns on the window sill finish off the look.
