Make sure your child gets a great night’s sleep

Babies and young children need up to 11 hours sleep each night, as well as naps throughout the day. However, it can be difficult to settle down for a snooze when the sun is shining through the windows. That’s why The Sleep Council recommends keeping kids’ bedrooms as dark as possible at bedtime as this aids relaxation and creates the right environment for sleep.

Find out more about blackout blinds fabrics for children’s rooms and nurseries. Choose a blackout fabric Roman or Roller blind in a fun design and make sure your child gets a great night’s sleep.

Go for a Roller blind in a blackout fabric

Kids’ blackout fabric Roller blinds look sleek and neat at the window, and offer excellent light control. All of our Roller blinds come with either a cord-free mechanism or with child safety devices fitted as standard.

For optimal performance choose a Perfect Fit blind. This clicks into place between the beading and glass of uPVC windows and your made-to-measure blackout blind sits snugly in the frame. The blind is operated by a tab for ease and safety, so you don't need to worry about any hanging cords.

Calming colours

When it comes to creating a restful space, The Sleep Council also recommends using muted or pastel pallettes rather than bright colours, which can actually be quite stimulating.

The soft neutral tones of our Twinkle Stars blackout fabric Roller blind is a perfect choice for a nursery and still provides a positive feel.
