Interior designer Abigail Ahern’s new year’s resolution for her home is to ramp up the texture.
“The thing about texture for any space whether it’s small or large, in the country or the city is how it can really turn a room around.
“From fringing on a beautiful blind to some botanicals, it makes a space feel incredibly homely, so I’m going to overdose on texture in my home this year.”

2022 is all about having fun and adding decorative touches to his new home
“We recently moved into a fixer upper and have spent the last few months uncovering all sorts of renovation problems we didn't factor in - classic! So now I'm looking forward to thinking about the fun bits, the colour, the decoration and the finishing touches.

Renowned British textile artist and designer Margo Selby chooses a word to live by at the turn of a new year. It’s a word that inspires her and captures the essence of how she wants to live in the coming year.
“My choice of word for 2022 is ‘Calm’ with a capital ‘C’! Living in the moment, giving myself time to think and do things slowly and thoughtfully. Being calm tends to create calm spaces which are ultimately uplifting spaces to be in.”
Director and Co-founder of online home interiors store Rockett St George, Jane Rockett is a self confessed colour addict. Her new year’s resolution is to embrace and celebrate colour by adding daring new combinations to her home.
“I am naturally drawn to monochromatic schemes, I love the crisp, punchiness that black and white bring to a room. But I am starting to introduce green, pinks, caramels and rusty oranges and, watch this space, for some bold floral patterns too!”
