- Cleaning Tips

Day & Night Roller blinds consist of sheer and opaque panels that pass across each other to create flexible light control at the window. The lightweight fabric and technical nature of these blinds needs careful treatment when it comes to cleaning.
For best results we recommend simply gently wiping over the surface of the blind with a lint free cloth or feather duster. To ensure the whole of the blind is cleaned effectively, clean one section, then turn the sidewinder control to clean the next section, until you have completed a full rotation of the blind. Focus your efforts on the headrail, edges and bottom of the blind where it meets the walls and sills, as these are the areas that are most likely to collect dust. Never use a vacuum to clean your day & night Roller blinds as the suction can cause damage or fraying to the blind.

What are Day & Night Roller blinds?
This is a fabric blind that is made up of two layers – one opaque and one sheer. The blinds work in a similar way to louvred blinds. The two fabric layers give the blind a striped appearance and provide flexible options for light control. In the opaque-sheer position the blinds gently filter light and provide daytime privacy, and in the opaque-opaque position, they block out the light to provide complete privacy. The blind can also be opened up fully away from the window.
What are Day & Night Roller blinds good for?
Day & Night Roller blinds are a good choice for windows and doors that are at street level or may be overlooked, as they provide daytime privacy while still allowing lots of light into your home. Unlike louvred blinds which work in a similar way but are usually made of wood or metal, these are a fabric blind, so are a good choice if you want a softer finish and texture for your windows.
Can I get a motorised Day & Night blind?
Motorised controls are available for Day & Night blinds, allowing you to easily adjust the position of your blinds remotely and easily, all at the touch of a button.
Are Day & Night blinds available in blackout fabrics?
Because of the lightweight and semi-sheer qualities of these blinds, they are not available in blackout fabrics. However, we do offer a dim-out option which provides extra control over light levels in your home. To achieve maximum levels of darkness in the home, we recommend layering curtains with blackout linings over your Day & Night Roller blinds.
