Terms and Conditions:
By entering into this Competition, Participants agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
Eligibility
This Competition is open to all residents of the Republic of Ireland, Wales, England and Scotland, who are under the age of 16 (‘Participants’), except employees of Hillarys, their families, or anyone professionally connected with this promotion.
Only one entry per ‘Participant’ will be accepted.
How to enter
To enter the Competition, ‘Participants’ must create a design using the downloadable templates available at https://www.hillarys.co.uk/static/design-a-blind/assets/img/Hillarys-Design-a-Blind-Comp-Colour-in.jpg.
The ‘Participants’ can then fill in the design using whatever material, patterns or colours they want and submit through the following steps:
Uploading the picture to social media and tagging the official Hillarys profile in to your post:

All entries must be submitted by 11.59pm on Friday 29th May. Any entry posted after this date won’t be considered in the competition.
Judging Process
Stage one
A judging panel of Hillarys experts will shortlist 9 entries based on the following criteria:
Creativity
Unique design
Showcase of personality
Stage two
The 9 finalists and their designs will be posted on Hillarys.co.uk where the general public will be asked to vote for their favourite. The voting will require users to submit an email address as verification. This email address will only be used for this competition and by submitting it you will not be added to any mailing or marketing lists.
Please note no voting method is completely fraud-proof but we will do our best to ensure that the competition remains fair to all entrants.
An expert panel at Hillarys will also judge the shortlist and rank the designs in order of their favourite.
The designs will then be awarded points depending on their position in both the voting section and a separate score for their position in the judges’ shortlist. Both sets of points will be added together and the design with the highest cumulative score will be crowned the winner.
The winner will be notified by social media on 3rd July 2020.
The Prize
The winner will receive the following:
A made-to-measure Roller blind for one window in the winner’s home, subject to minimum and maximum manufacturing measurements using the winning design.
A £500 Hillarys voucher to be used on any product from the Hillarys range.
A kid's hamper filled with a selection of goodies.
The chance for the winning design to be featured in our new Roller blinds collection. This is subject to commercial and manufacturing logistics as well as passing copyright infringement laws.
No cash equivalents or alternatives will be provided for the Prize and the Prize is not redeemable for cash.
By participating in this Competition, ‘Participants’ are deemed to give their consent for themselves and their ‘Entry’ into the competition to appear in future publicity materials or other promotional events and activities related to this Competition or Hillarys.
The ‘winner’ and other ‘Participants’ agree to take part in photoshoots, video or provide a quote for marketing material or external press when required to by the ‘Promoter’.
The ‘Promoter’ reserves the right, with or without cause, to exclude any ‘Participants’ in this Competition or withhold the ‘Prize’ where there has been any violation of these terms and conditions.
In the event of a dispute the decision of the ‘Promoter’ is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The ‘Promoter’ reserves the right to amend or withdraw this Competition in whole or in part, temporarily or permanently, without prior notice or compensation.
