Slat blinds
Slat blinds can become hard to raise and lower in wider windows because of the weight of the wood, which is why Hillarys have designed a clever pulley system for larger wood blinds ensuring easy and smooth lifting no matter how big your window is. Beware that cheaper imitations of our blinds will not have the same high-tech additions. Each blind comes with a matching valance and cords, and can be accessorised with tape in co-ordinating or contrasting colours. The ends of the wooden slats are hand painted so if you require your blind to be mounted outside the window recess you don't need to worry about the ends of the blinds looking bare.
Natural blinds
Because our Wood Venetians are made from real wood they are best suited to rooms where the temperature is unlikely to change quickly. For this reason we don't advise using Wood Venetians in bathrooms or kitchens. If you still want the look of wood in these rooms try our aluwood range; metal Venetians painted to look like Wooden Venetians. Due to the individual characteristics of wood no two wood Venetians will look exactly the same, each will have its own unique characteristics, however we check each wood Venetian to ensure that the same colour slats are chosen for each individual blind.
