Based in Dublin, Gemma Tipton is a writer. She writes about art, architecture and travel for Irish and international publications, including The Irish Times. Gemma also curates exhibitions and produces arts festivals. In 2020, she set up Festival in a Van, a mobile arts venue that toured the country during the pandemic, bringing the arts to places that other venues couldn’t reach. It is still going strong.
More recently, Gemma has been writing about her experience of moving into a new home, and how thoughtful design can shape everyday routines, including sleep. After years of being a light sleeper, she found that changes to her living environment had a noticeable impact. These days, Gemma is at her happiest discovering new places, working in her new garden, or with her horse, Bosco.
