Can blackout blinds improve sleep?

Yes, blackout blinds help create a darker bedroom by reducing the amount of outside light entering through your windows. A darker environment can support better sleep by helping your body recognise when it's time to rest, especially during lighter summer mornings or in rooms affected by streetlights.

That's why blackout blinds are a popular choice for bedrooms, nurseries and children's rooms, helping to create comfortable spaces for winding down at the end of the day.

Can blackout blinds fit any window?

Blackout blinds can be made to fit a wide range of window shapes and sizes, depending on the style you choose.

Our total blackout solution features a framed design, so it's only suitable for straight windows and cannot be fitted to bay windows. If you're looking for blackout blinds for a bay window, there are plenty of beautiful options to choose from, including Roller, Roman and Pleated blinds in blackout fabrics. While blackout fabrics help reduce the amount of light entering the room, they may still allow a little light in around the edges of the blind.

Blackout Roller and Pleated designs can also be fitted to skylight windows, making them a great choice for loft conversions, attic bedrooms and other rooms where daylight enters through the roof.
