This is a matter of personal preference. Typically, dining room curtains hang below the window or to the floor, but you can have any length you like. You can even choose to have them hang fractionally above the floor, or puddle on top of it for a luxurious look. All of our dining room curtains are made to measure for a perfect fit, first time. Choosing the perfect curtains for your dining room all depends on the style and colour theme of your space. Our fabric choices include a wide variety of styles from bold and bright, classy and elegant, to natural and soothing, and everything in between. You can order up to eight samples of your favourite fabrics to see how lovely they’ll look in your home.
Yes, all our made-to-measure curtains can help you retain the heat in your room and reduce draughts. To keep as much heat as possible in your dining room, choose curtains with a blackout lining or thermal lining - it'll help reduce heat loss by 14% to keep your home cosier. In summer, they can also help keep a room cooler by reducing the amount of heat that enters through your windows. A blackout lining will also help block the light so you can dine in comfort when the sun's rays are particularly strong. Choose naturally thicker curtain fabrics like velvet or layer your curtains over a made-to-measure blind to improve the thermal qualities of your curtains even further. Closing your curtains by dusk will help insulate your dining room windows at night and keep the space feeling cosy.
