    Do wooden shutters block noise?

    Yes. The thickness and density of wood has natural sound proofing qualities, which helps to reduce road traffic noise at windows facing the street or at street-level.

    Are wooden shutters blackout?

    Wooden shutters are a really effective window covering when it comes to blocking out light.
