If you love the luxe look of linen but have ecological concerns around its sustainability and production, then take a look at Pure Hemp. 100% natural hemp and is also sustainable, plus it also uses 50% less water in its production than cotton, so it’s helping the environment on several levels. It has that similar look to linen, but it doesn’t suffer from crushing in the same way that linen does, making it a far better option for a Roman blind, leaving you with less creases as you extend the blind after its been folded up throughout the day. Pure Hemp Clay is a pale shade of always popular grey but its got a little brown to it that keeps it away from being too cool in temperature, but it’s still airy and light, with its plain flat weave that really does look like linen, with none of the drawbacks and only you will know the difference.

Using the upholstery attachment, gently vacuum your Roman blinds. Work in a downwards motion from top to bottom, paying particular attention to the bottom and side edges, where dust may gather. Stains can be spot treated with a clean, damp cloth or a specialist stain remover. Do not machine wash your Roman blinds – many of our fabrics are dry clean only.

All Hillarys products conform to European safety legislation. When you buy a Roman bind, your Hillarys fitter will also install a discreet little cleat or hook for the cord to wrap around, so there are no loose cords. These are fitted at a minimum height of 1.5m above the floor. Having a safety device is a legal requirement even in homes without children. If you move home and leave your blinds you have an obligation to make sure they are legally safe.

Yes you can. All our Roman blind fabrics are available as curtains, and if you wanted to accessorise more, then you can have matching cushions too.
Do you sell blackout products?
All our Roman blinds are available with a blackout lining.
Are your Roman blinds lined?
Yes they are. We offer a standard lining as well as a blackout lining. And if you want to create a fuller, more luxurious look, choose our interlining option.
Can I have a Roman blind in my bathroom?
Roman blinds are a perfect choice for downstairs cloakrooms and en-suite guest bathrooms. They can also be used in large, well-ventilated bathrooms, but are best avoided in small, heavily used or very steamy bathrooms, which would be more suited to a specialist water resistant blind, such as PVC, Vertical blinds or faux wooden Venetian blinds.
